Thw have a Dell XPS 2 in 1 laptop that is 16 months old. I had previously bought Windows windowws Pro on a USB, with a product key, just after I bought the laptop and wanted to reinstall this. When I tried, as it is apparently an older version of Windows 10 Pro, I cannot both install it and keep my files and apps. Is there a way to download the current version of 10 Pro and install this with the product key I have bought?

I was then put through to technical support which took most of the rest of the time. The chap allegedly spoke to a Tier 2 Support team member and I was to be put through. Unfortuntely as the latest version of windows 10 pro as I was put through I got a recorded message windpws the office was closed and I should call back during normal business hours.

After the Dell technician induced reinstall of Windows 10 which came with the PC, I now have the latest updated version of 10 installed. I had previously bought and installed Windows 10 Pro for which I have on a Microsoft USB with a product key on a card over the original operating system. If I try and install Windows 10 Widows now, over the newly updated Windows 10, the only option available is to lose my files and the latest version of windows 10 pro to install theolder version of Windows 10 Pro.
